The world bank has granted $200 million ( about N32 billion) loan facility to be accessed by the three tiers of government for employment generation.
Gov. Ibrahim Dankwambo of Gombe state made the disclosure when he briefed State House correspondents on the outcome of the monthly National Economic Council (NEC) meeting in Abuja on Thursday.

The Governor of Gombe State said the facility is also meant to uplift the quality of education and boost food production
He said all State Governors were encouraged to approach the Federal Ministry of Finance on how to access the facility.
The governor also revealed that another N200 billion had been set aside by the Central Bank of Nigeria to be accessed by the state government in support of Micro Finance Banks in the Local Government Area.

"Council were informed that an additional 200 million dollar on safety net was provided by the world bank for those people who are willing to access it.
"It is mainly a facility for employment generation, education etc. People who are interested are encouraged to meet the Federal Ministry of Finance to utilised the facility.
