ZACK ORJI SPEAKS ON HIS COLLEAGUES OUTSIDE THE MOVIES WORLD.
Zack orji speak with Jane Augoye on what his colleague in Nollywood do outside the movies industries.
"All over the world it is normal for someone in a field of life to get into something different when they have reached a certain height in life. It should not be different from those of us in the movies industry, civil servant and teachers get their hands in some other things apart from their regular jobs, so why must we be different. This is normal human endeavour ,people burn candle at both ends to be able to meet their everyday needs; sometimes your salaries are not enough to meet your responsibility. So being an actor should not be considered abnormal. People can always express their talent in other areas to couple with the one they have". he says
"While it is true that i am now a Pastor ( in Powerline in Lagos), has not in any way affected my career in acting. I have features in different movies project recently, the most recent being "the half of a yellow sun" a Chimamanda Adichie best selling novel, which is recently adapted for screenplay.
"Some actors have tried the music industry, though this actors are just trying to showcase other talents, actors like Genevieve Nnaji, Jim Iyke, Omotola Jalake Ekeinde, Kate Henshaw, and most recently Nollywood bad girl, Tonto Dike. Though there is a wise saying that "it is important to know that the success of an actor's decision to go into music is beyond having a popular face or possessing good look.
" Before the music maker stole the show, the movies actor had found consolation in endorsement by corporate organisation like Global com and MTN, so they have to find other way to consolidate their effort.
