POKELLO'S DAD AVOIDED ELIKEM INTENTIONALLY

Retired Colonel George Nare, the father of the former Big Brother House mate, Pokello Nare, intentionally avoided his daughter's boyfriend Ghanaian Ellikem Kurmordzi  when he visited Zimbabwe.
Pokello father revealed that he avioded meeting his daughter's boyfriend when he visited Bulawayo last 2 weeks on, he believe seeing him was against tradition and custom of their people.
Contrary to the media report by Pokello and Ellikem that he was busy, he revealed that despite his daughter celebrity status and the publicity the relationship had received, he still believed the  tradition must be respected at all times.
"My daughter called me and told me she was coming to Bulawayo with her boyfriend and wanted me to meet me, but i was very frank with her and i told her it was against our tradition. I am happy for her, it is easy for her to be introduce to his family but not otherwise. I can only be able to meet him when they come for official introduction." He said.
Pokello 's father who is now a famer and miner said the relation was still in the early stage and as such it is difficult for him to judge.
"Right now they are boyfriend and girlfriend; It's the circumstance of their celebrity status that have made it so public otherwise i would not have known. As a father i believe Pokello is a grown up woman who makes her own decision and she has chosen to fall in love with this guy, Ellikem and her happiness is what count most to us.
"All i can do is help her make the best of her life and facilitate her to achieve her goal."Rtd Col. Nare said.
